Turning Back   (20'6" x 50")

This painting came to me right after I read a book named "The Turning Point, The Transformation of American Art," by April. The turning point was when abstract expressions started in the year 1940. I named my painting 'Turning Back' for the reason that I feel a lot of times history repeats itself. I am not saying that I am repeating history, I am just trying to maybe bring back some memories of abstract expressionists. The romance as I was painting was right there as I was thinking of the Pollacks and the de Koonings and Rothkos. I felt that I was in their day where everybody painted for the love of the paint on the canvas.
